- 1955 Nice Selmer Mark Vi Tenor Saxophone Original Lacquer in Laredo, Texas For Sale

You're checking out a beautiful Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, serial number 62xxx. According to The Vintage Saxophone Gallery, this horn is from xxxx. The lacquer on this horn is in beautiful shape, I'd say 80-90% coverage depending on your perspective.
Mechanically, this horn is solid. All mechanisms are functioning and all the keywork is tight. It has not had any major trauma or extensive repairs needed in its lifetime. It comes with the original neck. The case is not original, but it's close in style and as you can see in the photos it's a tripack. This horn has the screws in the feet of the right hand stack keys, and also the C key guard is Super Balanced action style (doesn't have the third foot).
It formerly had the name of one of its owners etched underneath the upper thumb rest, but it has been buffed out and lacquered over and can no longer be seen.
At some point, the upper foot on the alternate F# guard was resoldered, but there are no other solder junctures to be found on this instrument.
The horn does seal up and it plays well. It has the original dome resonators, and the pads may or may not be original. They are quite old.
